In total, 68.2 million laptops were shipped from January to March 2021, while 37.8 million units were shipped over the same period a year ago. The market leader is Lenovo, which increased shipments from 8.9 million units to 16.3 million units in a year, that is, by 84%. As a result, its share increased from 23.5% to 23.9%.
In second place is HP, which increased shipments from 8.1 million units to 15.4 million units over the year, that is, by 91%. Its share increased over the year from 21.3% to 22.6%.
Dell ranks third. Over the year, this company increased deliveries from 7.3 million units to 10.0 million units, that is, by only 37%. The logical result was a decrease in Dell’s share of the global laptop market from 19.2% to 14.6%.

Acer closes the top five. It also increased shipments by 94% – from 2.5 million units to 4.9%. Acer’s share increased from 6.7% to 7.2%.
