According to the latest research by Strategy Analytics, Xiaomi was ranked as the largest 5G smartphone supplier in Central and Eastern Europe in the third quarter of 2021. The Chinese manufacturer occupies 41.8% of the specified market. For comparison: a year ago, its share was equal to 4.3%.
“Xiaomi is expected to maintain its leadership in the CEE region throughout 2021 and remain the leader in 5G smartphone shipments in 2022,” said Yiwen Wu, Senior Analyst at Strategy Analytics. “Xiaomi is benefiting from Huawei’s absence as well as its own portfolio of high-quality affordable 5G smartphones such as the Redmi Note 9T 5G and Mi 11 5G.”
Apple has the second largest 5G smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2021 in the CEE region. Apple’s share is 26.0%. A year ago, there were no 5G-enabled models in Apple’s range.
