A 6.1 -magnitude earthquake struck the capital of Peru yesterday Sunday and its surroundings, costing life to a man and injuring 36 others in the capital Lima and causing landslides and damage to the building infrastructure of the health services and school system. The earthquake was recorded around 11:35 (local time; 19:35 hours of Greece), about 30 kilometers southwest of Kayao, a seaside city for ten kilometers from Lima, according to the Peruvian National Seismological Center. Police have announced that a 36 -year -old man lost his life when he fell on the vehicle he was on, in the district of the Peruvian capital.
