Student denounces UFPR professor for episodes of moral harassment

A student at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) denounced a professor on a social network for a series of episodes of moral harassment.

The college reported that it opened an investigation process after a video recording the classes went viral on social media. The identity of the accused teacher was not revealed.

In the publication, which already has about 350,000 likes on TikTok and another 30,000 likes in a repost on Twitter, it is possible to hear the teacher yelling at a student, who wrote: “You get sick after six years on this.”

“You are going to tell me what I have to do”, says the teacher in the video. “I run this shit*, I call the shots, I call the shots,” he adds, as he punches the table.

At another moment, it is possible to hear him saying: “Your work is shit*, a total disregard, a sloppiness. Written in a handwriting that looks like an electrocardiogram. Fuck, get someone from the team and write this shit. Go out there and type that shit.”

In the caption of the video, the student explains that the teacher’s screams started because he “scheduled an activity outside of class time”, and she had to go at another time because it coincided with her internship.

In the comments, they asked her to open a process in the UFPR audit. “They have already tried to make a complaint and the university has not given continuity”, replied the student.

In a note sent to CNN UFPR reported that, “with regard to the video that is circulating on social networks, it duly investigates the case, already in the investigation process”.

“We emphasize that UFPR does not condone any form of discrimination or violence, whether physical, verbal or symbolic”, adds the university.

“The student or community member who witnesses any situation must file a complaint via the Pro-Rectory of Student Affairs, the Superintendence of Inclusion, Affirmative Policies and Diversity or through the institutional ombudsman”, concludes the statement.
