A 20-year-old girl had part of her shaved hair after a disagreement with a classmate at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), in the Federation neighborhood of Salvador, last Wednesday (22).
The aggression occurred within the teaching unit, in front of a classroom, amid a series of conflicts between two students, which included mutual accusations and intimidation, as well as publications on social networks, according to information from the Bahia Civil Police.
According to the complaint registered in the 1st Territorial Police Station, at the time of disagreement, the victim used pepper spray to defend herself. Other students who were present also told police that they felt threatened by the aggressor who scraped part of the young woman’s hair.
The case is still under investigation by the Bahia Civil Police, who has heard witnesses and is conducting steps to clarify the facts. The identities of those involved were not disclosed.
THE CNN contacted the Federal University of Bahia to find out if the institution is aware and follows the case and awaits response.
