A woman who was with the 22-year-old medical student killed by a military police officer in a hotel in the south of São Paulo stated that they had argued moments before he was shot. The incident took place last Wednesday morning (20).
In a video published on social media, the woman who accompanied Marco Aurélio Cardenas Acosta stated that the fight had happened for personal reasons. “We were always fighting, but we were always together. He helped me a lot, with a lot of things,” she said.
The witness explained that after the fight, she told Marco that she would leave the place but, in fact, she hid in a space in the hotel, without the student knowing.
She reported that moments after hiding, she heard the sound of a gunshot. “It didn’t even take two minutes and everything happened. I don’t know what happened on the street, no one showed me. He [Marco] he was drunk, I’m not going to say he was 100% sober. I didn’t see it, but I heard it. It was half an hour waiting for the ambulance, he was ‘alive’”, concluded the woman.
In the publications, the girl who accompanied the student also stated that she had known him for around two years. “We always met, even if just to pass the time,” the woman wrote.
