Student on knife rampage at school in Spain: “Three teachers and two children stabbed”

Three teachers and two students were allegedly stabbed by a 14-year-old student who pulled a knife from his bag and launched an attack as classes began in spanish school this morning.

The teenager, who has not been named, allegedly stabbed the five victims as classes started at 8.30am. at the Elena García Armada Institute in the city of Jerez de la Frontera, in southern Spain, reports the Daily Mail.

Police were called to the scene where they quickly arrested the 14-year-old student, while the high school was evacuated and medics treated the injured. One of the high school teachers is in serious condition after being stabbed in the eye and rushed to hospital, reports ABC de Andalucia.

The condition of the other two teachers and the two students is not yet known.

Sources told Jerez TV that the student had arrived at his classroom this morning before he pulled a large knife from his backpack and began “stabbing whoever passed in front of him”.

Panicked parents, as soon as they heard the news rushed to the school where they had left their children a few minutes earlier.
