Student returns to studies and is separated from classmates in the classroom and internship

Student Alicia Muller, investigated by the São Paulo Civil Police for embezzlement, for embezzling R$ 927 million from the graduation committee of the 106th class of the USP Faculty of Medicine, returned to classes and to her hospital and outpatient internship.

In the penultimate semester of graduation, she still hasn’t returned to the classroom with the classmates who accused her of the crime. She has participated in activities only in graduate classes, with professors and staff.

The student unlocked college and resumed her academic activities on Monday (27) and has since returned to her internship. She is doing practical activities in two Basic Health Units in the west zone of São Paulo.

According to the student’s defense, the decision to place her in units without the presence of other undergraduates took place in a meeting between the student, the coordination and the rectory of the University.

Alicia Muller would be fearing for her physical integrity and for possible constraints within the campus.

Sought by CNN, the Faculty of Medicine at USP said it has an integrated system with monitoring cameras and professionals who are available to protect the safety of all students and employees of the institution. The college said it would no longer comment on the case.
