Today, December 7, employees of Changan Motors Rus officially announced the start of sales of the Changan CS55plus urban crossover, which instantly attracts a lot of attention at least with its body design. On the front side of the car, you can see a very impressive radiator grille, which looks extremely unusual, plus there are also running lights extended along the hood, and a little lower under them – huge stylish “nostrils” that give the “SUV” a more sporty look. We can safely say that the “muzzle” of the crossover is excellent.
However, there is also something to see at the back – the manufacturer placed a small and very stylish spoiler above the rear window, there are also brake lights presented in the form of thick lines, and a symmetrical exhaust (albeit decorative overlays) completes the image of a sports city vehicle. And to make the car not only look sporty, but also drive smartly, the company placed a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine under the hood of the crossover with a power of 181 horsepower with a torque of 280 Nm. This motor is paired with a smart seven-speed preselective “robot” with two wet clutches – this is perhaps the softest transmission of all possible.
In the cabin, of course, there is also something to see – it looks more than rich, although the crossover does not claim to be a premium car segment. At the same time, the potential buyer receives a very stylish center console, two large screens (one is responsible for the dashboard, and the second for the vehicle’s multimedia system), a nice finish with red contrasting stitching and an unusual steering wheel. Separately, I would like to draw attention to the electronic gear selector – it looks quite weighty and impressive, although it switches with a slight movement of the hand.
Changan CS55plus in the Russian market is presented in three trim levels – Comfort, Luxe and Tech. For the basic version of the vehicle, the manufacturer requests a very adequate amount by modern standards – 2,669,900 rubles. But the most surprising thing is that the cost of the top-end configuration is not much higher – they ask for only 2,789,900 rubles for it. Accordingly, if the user does not need various smart assistants to help with driving, then he will receive a chic crossover with a stylish body and an expensive interior in the base. If needed, you will have to pay quite a bit.
