A new model of the ONYX BOOX reader with an enlarged screen and a stylus, Nova Air, has entered the Russian market. The device is equipped with a 7.8-inch touch screen E Ink Carta Plus with a high pixel density and built-in Moon Light 2, which allows you to use the book in the dark thanks to the soft glow of the screen. In addition, the backlight has a color temperature adjustment, supports Flicker-Free technology (no flicker) and the Snow Field function, which reduces the number of redrawing artifacts.
The Nova Air is housed in a thin aluminum-magnesium alloy body, with a thickness of only 6.3 mm. The reader comes with a stylus that attaches to the body with a magnet. It recognizes 4096 degrees of pressure and can be used to make notes on a special Wacom touch layer located under the E Ink-panel. A convenient magnetic case with built-in paging buttons can be purchased for the reader.
The device is built on a modern platform consisting of an eight-core Qualcomm processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The performance of the reader is quite enough not only for reading e-books, but also for working with documents in PDF format. The Nova Air has Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and supports OTG, with which you can connect additional peripherals. It also has stereo speakers and a microphone, allowing the reader to be used as a voice recorder.
Nova Air runs on Android 10 operating system with an app store. It comes with programs such as NeoReader for reading most of the popular e-book formats, documents and Notes with handwriting recognition. There is also an audio player, translator and other useful apps.
