Submitting applications for inclusion in the Program for restructuring and conversion of vineyards digitally

By decision of the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. George Georgantas, from this year will be submitted digitally applications for inclusion in the Program of restructuring and conversion of vineyards.

According to the decision No. 1059/128553 / 17-05-2022 (Β 2418) of the Minister of Rural Development and Food, those interested in joining the Program for restructuring and conversion of vineyards for the period 2022-2023 can, from today 18 May and until June 15, 2022, to submit an application to participate in the digital service of the Ministry of Regional Development. The decision applies exclusively to the wine year 2022-2023 and concerns vineyards planted with vinifiable vine varieties, which are registered in the Viticulture Register and for which the harvest declarations of the last two years preceding the application have been correctly submitted.

The measures concerned by the application are:

a) eradication – replanting,
b) the planting of vineyards,
(c) revaccination (for varietal conversion of vineyards); and
d) the improvement of certain techniques for the management of vineyards (support or construction of terraces).

Indicatively, it is mentioned that the financial support for the implementation of the measures of eradication – replanting, planting of vineyards and improvement of some management techniques amounts to € 2,590, in mountainous, disadvantaged and island areas of the less developed regions. The aid also includes compensation for the loss of income.
