From this Tuesday (18) the signature for vehicle transfer (e-Not Sign) can be done online in the state of São Paulo through the Notary Public.
The signature is required for the transfer of vehicles that have a digital Vehicle Registration Certificate (CRV), obligatorily issued since January 2021 for registration, licensing, transfer, change of characteristics, category and vehicle chassis marking.
In case of change of domicile of the car owner, the ATPV-e constitutes the proof of transfer of ownership and must be made, mandatorily, in each purchase and sale transaction.
“In the last two years, Brazilian Notary Publics have made all their services available electronically, including document authentication and signature recognition, which are the most common services used by society,” says Giselle Oliveira de Barros, president of Colégio Notarial do Brasil – Federal Council (CNB/CF), an entity that brings together all Notary Public Offices in the country.
According to the São Paulo Section of the Notarial College of Brazil, digitization will make life easier for citizens, who will be able to carry out the entire process electronically.
