An anaconda entered the pipe in the city of Cordeirópolis (SP) and interrupted the city’s water supply last Saturday morning (2).
The four-meter animal, according to the mayor of the municipality, José Adinan Ortolan, was in the region’s treatment pipeline, did not resist and was found dead .
“Sucuri passes through the protection grid and enters the Cascalho Dam water intake pipe and interrupts the water supply. Unfortunately, Sucuri did not survive”, says the mayor.
The normalization of water supply in the city was resumed after the anaconda was removed. Cordeirópolis is located in the metropolitan region of Piracicaba, with approximately 25 thousand inhabitants
THE CNN tried to contact the Autonomous Water and Sewage Service (SAAE), but has not yet received contact.
