Suki Waterhouse recalls breakup with Bradley Cooper: “Lonely”

The actress and model Suki Waterhouse 31, recalled the painful end of her relationship with the actor Bradley Cooper 49. In an interview with British Vogue, the star, who is currently dating fellow actor Robert Pattinson admitted that her relationship with the star of “The Hangover”, who is 17 years her senior, left deep scars.

“I will say that I am quite strong at this point, but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you are actually not okay but you can’t explain yourself to the world, it is very lonely and disconcerting,” said Suki, who dated Cooper from 2013 to 2015.

According to the British actress, it took her almost a decade to recover and achieve the place she has in her life today. However, the actress from the series “Daisy Jones & the Six“ believes that no one “really recovers” from a broken heart.

“A lot of it just doesn’t go away. Do you feel like you’ve really recovered? I think it always stays with you,” he reflected.

Suki also addressed other past relationships, including with the musician Miles Kane 38, and the Mexican actor Diego Luna 44, confessing that the age difference contributed to an unequal dynamic.

“Your 20s are quite sadistic. The love I experienced [então] It was just a fetishization, and I think when you’re only loved that way, you’re only punished… When you get to your 30s, you almost instantly get a little bit more respect. It’s wonderful and shocking at the same time,” he said.

Despite the difficulties in love, the artist, who has a three-month-old daughter with Robert Pattinson 38, wouldn’t change a thing about his past.

“I wouldn’t change a thing. All these chaotic turns my life has taken have always been material. Even when things felt really challenging, they led me to a love that is really pure and a life now… I wake up in the morning feeling peaceful. I’ll probably get hurt again at some point, that’s just how it is. But you carry your scars and if you can take them and turn them into something and share them, then that’s what matters,” she concluded.
