Summer weekend: free trips and climbing with the Alpine Guides in Lombardy

Clean air, nature, beauty: the mountain has everything we need now and to let us discover the Alpine guides and mid-mountain guides from Lombardy also this year they offer a rich calendar of walks, climbing, adventures in regional parks: in all 24 excursions and 18 days of climbing at the crag until September free and designed for experts but also for beginners, including children.

The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Organizational Unit Sports Facilities and Infrastructures and Mountain Sports Professions of the Lombardy Region, was created to introduce us to the beauty of the region, but also to promote a more conscious, sustainable, careful and safe tourism in the approach to the mountains, and has been repeated successfully for several years now.

There are so many opportunities to participate this summer, from the simplest walks to the most demanding ones, to the discovery of naturalistic but also historical and gastronomic beauties of the Lombardy mountains, as well as cliff climbing, which are organized for various levels of difficulty in companies of expert guides who explain the techniques and the correct use of safety equipment.

In the gallery above you will find a selection of upcoming events, while the entire calendar is on guidealpine.lombardia.it/2021/06/list-escursioni/ for excursions and on guidealpine.lombardia.it/2021/06/promo-2021-arrampicate-in-falesia/ for the crags . The events are on weekends, in the provinces of Brescia, Bergamo, Sondrio and Varese and registrations – which are done directly online – close at 12 noon on the previous Thursday. As there is a lot of demand, it’s worth planning ahead.

“For many young people and adults, especially in the city, this initiative – he underlines Antonio Rossi, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Lombardy Region with responsibility for Sports, 2026 Olympics and Major Events – represents the first real opportunity to fully immerse yourself in nature after the restrictions of recent months linked to Covid. For parents interested in living this experience with their children, I recommend trying rock climbing as well as hiking in the parks. In fact, our region offers countless fascinating opportunities to experience the mountains at 360 degrees. The program drawn up this year by the Alpine Guides makes you want to leave every weekend ».
