A summit meeting will be held on February 3, 2023 by the 27 heads of state and government of the European Union member countries and the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as announced by a representative of the president of the European Council. However, the location remains unknown.
“I am able to confirm that the EU-Ukraine summit will take place on February 3 and there is an open invitation to President Zelensky to visit Brussels,” said Barent Leitch. He clarified, however, that the invitation to Volodymyr Zelensky does not mean that the summit meeting will take place in Brussels.
European officials said the summit will likely focus on how the European Union will continue to support Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. European leaders will also assess Ukraine’s progress towards joining the Union, APE-MPE reports, citing Reuters.
