The First Trailer of “Summoning Evil 4: The Last Ritual” released this Thursday (8), shows the real case that will be approached in the feature film that ends the successful franchise directed by James Wan (“Deadly Games”).
“Summoning Evil 4” promises to put an end to the horror saga starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, who play the real life couple Lorraine and Ed Warren. Americans have gained fame from their paranormal investigations and reports on different cases of haunting.
What is the actual case addressed in “Summoning Evil 4?”
As the trailer shows, the film will address the case of the Smurl family, which lived in a home allegedly with a demon in Pennsylvania, United States, between 1973 and 1989.
The couple Jack and Janet Smurl reported at the time they heard loud noises and felt bad smells in the house when they moved. Over time, they began to have aggressive behavior, such as pushing one of the daughters of the stairs, and practicing sexual aggression.
In 1986, the supernatural couple was hired. Ed Warren assured that the demon living in the place was powerful. With months of investigation, they documented audio tapes with the noises allegedly caused by the entity.
A year later, the family said things came back to normal, but they were still listened to noises.
The case also won a movie, titled “The house of lost souls” in 1991.
“Summoning Evil 4: The Last Ritual” Premiere on September 4 in theaters.
The first film in the “Summon of Evil” franchise was released in 2013. The feature was responsible for introducing paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren to the public, who work to help a family terrified by a demonic entity on their farm.
