Summer is the period of vacation and rest. That time of year when everyone, more or less, will make a little trip. But who said relaxation can not be combined with business? This is what the crusaders of the planet have been doing every July for years, giving the “present” at the annual summer camp at the Sun Valley Resort in Idaho.
As every year (except in 2019 due to covid), from 5 to 9 July, there were founders and top executives of the world’s largest multinationals, as well as politicians and members of the financial system.
The Sun Valley Conference is an opportunity to make trade deals, play golf and tennis, and get together in an environment with many safe but relaxed dress codes.
According to npr.org, private jets landed one after another at the small Friedman Memorial Airport, while luxury vehicles traveled a distance of about 20 kilometers, through green hills, until they were transported to the luxury resort in the Sun Valley.
Sun Valley Conference: Who was at the 1 trillion camp this year?
The 2019 meeting was canceled due to a pandemic. So the rich of this world had an extra incentive to be in Idaho. According to the reports, the wealth of the people who were present at the “billionaires’ camp” exceeds 1 trillion.
The founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, and the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, were the most important appearances at the summer conference of technology billionaires who returned after the pandemic.
“The gathering is also an ideal place for media executives to discuss ways of working together in #streaming, a top priority for the old-line entertainment firms that are struggling to compete with behemoths like Netflix & Disney.”https://t.co/9ChNhQapht #sunvalley #BigTech

Jeff Bezos arrived at the conference with his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez on Thursday.
Bill Gates made his first appearance at a major event after announcing his divorce from Melina Franz.
Presence at the camp was written by its founder and CEO Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg but also the number 2 of the colossus Cheryl Sandberg.
Also at the camp were her Tim Cook Apple, Uber CEO Dara Kosrovsachi, Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway, Andreessen Horowitz co-founder Ben Horowitz with his wife and Palantir CEO Alex Karp, chief investor of Paypal Dan Sulman, of Hearst Steven Schwartz, of Comcast Brian Roberts, the boss of Disney, Bob Iger and the Board of Directors. Bob Chapek, Jeffrey Katzenberg co-founder of DreamWorks, Walmart CEO Doug Macmilon.
Retired American General and former CIA chief David Petraeus and former New York mayor and former Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg have been named in the political arena.
The deals that closed in Idaho
The event is stamped by the investment bank Allen & Co, described as the most “secret” financial institution in the world and its processes take place in conditions of limited publicity at the Sun Valley resort in the large natural beauty of Idaho in USA.
The result is minimal photos and information about it seeing the light of day. Its importance, however, should not be underestimated. It is noteworthy that, among others, Jeff Bezos of Amazon signed the acquisition of the emblematic American newspaper The Washington Post after discussions that culminated in the days of the event. The ABC network merger agreement with Disney for $ 19 billion is also believed to have hatched in Sun Valley.
