Super green pass, where it is essential and how to get it

What can you do with (and without) the super green pass, from today to January 15th? The Government has clarified all doubts on travel, on access to shops and sports activities, on the possibility of consuming food and drinks in restaurants, based on the color of the regions.

How to get the super green pass. Only with the second dose of vaccine a with healing. Those who recovered or underwent two doses less than nine months ago do not have to ask for a new certificate: the one they already have is valid. It can be downloaded from the government website (dgc.gov.it) with a health card or digital identity (Spid / Cie). It can also be obtained by downloading the Immuni app or by going to the Regional Electronic Health Record website.

How long does it last. The super green pass is valid for up to nine months after the second dose of vaccine or after recovery. And if the third dose is not taken at the end of the period, the super green pass is no longer valid.

Where and when it is needed

Transportation. To use public or private scheduled means of transport, such as airplanes, trains, ships and ferries, buses and coaches that connect more than two regions and buses and coaches hired with driver, a green pass is required, although not necessarily the super one ( the basic green pass is the one released with the buffer, antigenic or molecular). Without the green pass you can only get on non-scheduled public transport, such as taxis and cars with up to nine seats, used as a rental service with driver, with the exception of those that function as additional local public transport services. You can travel with your own car even without a green pass, as long as it is within your own city. Towards other Municipalities in your region or outside the region, if in the orange zone, you can use your vehicle only for work, necessity, health or for services that are not suspended but not available in your Municipality (this limitation does not apply to moving from Municipalities of maximum 5,000 inhabitants, to other municipalities within 30 kilometers).

Ski resorts. The ski pass for cable cars, gondolas and chairlifts can only be purchased with the green pass, the basic one in the white and yellow zone, the super one in the orange zone. The green pass is not necessary in the white and yellow areas to buy the skipass “for exclusive use” of the lifts.

Job. The basic green pass is enough in all public and private workplaces, including canteens. For some categories, however, vaccination is compulsory: health and RSA personnel and, from 15 December, also school personnel, police forces, military personnel.

Shops. The green pass is not required to enter the malls, unless the region turns orange. In that case, on weekends and holidays you can only go shopping with the super green pass. On weekdays, non-vaccinated people will also be able to access the orange zone. You do not need the green pass to go to the hairdresser, the beautician, all the other shops and public offices.

Restaurants and bars. The super green pass will also be needed to have a coffee at the bar. Without the green pass, drinking is allowed in the white and yellow areas. Without the super green pass, in the orange zone you will not be able to eat at the restaurant even outdoors. To sit indoors you need the super green pass even in the white area.

Hotel. To book a room, you just need the basic green pass, which will also be used for hotel restaurants, both indoors and outdoors. Those who are not customers of the hotel will be able to sit outdoors in the white and yellow area even without the super green pass, which is always necessary indoors.

Sport. The super green pass is not required outdoors. The basic green pass is required to access gyms, sports facilities and indoor swimming pools in the white and yellow zone, the one strengthened for the regions in orange.

Museums, cinemas, discos, stadiums. The green pass is required. In museums, the basic one in the white and yellow zone is enough, while for cinemas, theaters, concerts, discos, stadiums and arenas (with 75% capacity outdoors and 60% indoors) the super green pass.
