The new product is called Jetson AGX Orin. Nvidia calls it the smallest, most powerful, and most energy efficient AI supercomputer for robotics, autonomous machines, medical devices, and other forms of embedded computing. Compared to the previous Jetson AGX Xavier, customers will benefit from a sixfold increase in productivity.
More specifically, the Jetson AGX Orin achieves 200 TOPS performance, which is similar to a discrete GPU server, but this mini PC fits in the palm of your hand. Its dimensions are only 100 x 100 x 87 mm.
The heart is a single-chip system with 12 2 GHz Cortex-A78AE processor cores and 1 GHz Ampere GPU and 2048 CUDA cores. The supercomputer also received 32 GB of LPDDR5 memory with a bandwidth of 204.8 GB / s and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash memory. The device supports up to six cameras with 16 MIPI CSI-2 lanes, can encode 4K video at 60 fps (two streams), decode 8K video at 30 fps, and also has five RJ45 ports, four of which are 10 Gbps. c, four USB 2.0 ports, there is DisplayPort 1.4a, four UART nodes, three SPI, four I2S, eight I2C, two CAN, DMIC, DSPK, and GPIO pins. The power can range from 15 to 50 watts.
AGX Orin supports Nvidia Clara Holoscan, a new computing platform for the healthcare industry that enables developers to create software-defined medical devices that run low-latency streaming applications at the edge.
The novelty will be available to developers early next year.
