A large police operation is underway around a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, where shots were heard.
A police source told ABC television that Police rushed to the scene after being notified of the presence of a gunman in the parking lot of the King Soopers supermarket.
Police also came under fire. So far there is no information on injuries.
Footage broadcast live during the operation by an eyewitness in the parking lot shows at least one man, a man wearing only shorts, being escorted by police outside the store. His hands were handcuffed to his back and he appeared to be slightly injured in the leg.
