«Supernova»: the love of Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci, between joy and pain

It is the story of a great love and capable of resisting any difficulty that told by Supernova, the new film directed by director and screenwriter Harry Macqueen and coming to theaters on September 16th. The protagonists are Sam and Tusker, played respectively by Colin Firth e Stanley Tucci, two men who share a piece of life that lasts twenty years and who choose to embark on a journey aboard their old camper in the heart of England to find friends, see family members and rediscover the places of their hearts.

Every moment is precious and every day is unique for the couple. Especially since, two years earlier, Tusker was diagnosed with early dementia which inexorably erases the traces left by his memory. Through the masterful and moving interpretation of its protagonists, Supernova it is a film that strikes, which leads to emotion and, especially in such a delicate moment as that of the pandemic, it suggests that we pay attention to humanity, to the details that make our lives worth being in the world.

Ever since Tusker got sick, Sam was forced to pause his life to look after his partner full time: the time spent together became the most important aspect of their existence and the fear of losing everything at any moment the torment that Sam does not would never want to give up. In a crescendo that will bring out secrets and hidden dreams, Supernova it’s a journey made even more precious by a cast that, in addition to Firth and Tucci, also counts Pippa Haywood, Peter Macqueen and James Dreyfus, and from a screenplay written with love and extreme delicacy by the same Harry Macqueen.
