Surfer found Rolex wedged under a rock on the seabed that still works

The Australian surfer Matt Cadibi while snorkeling at Noosa Heads, a coastal town in Australiafound a treasure.

A vintage was buried under a rock Rolex Submariner.

“I was just snorkeling around the same areas I usually go in Noosa. Looking over, I noticed a Rolex Submariner with its strap caught under a rock,” Cadibi told the magazine Fratello.

The Rolex was in bad shape. The case and bezel of the watch were unrecognizable from the sea. The crystal had many scratches. This made even clock recognition very difficult.

The surfer initially thought this watch he found was a cheap knockoff. However, this particular Rolex was genuine and had been in production between the early 1960s and the late 1980s.

The watch still works, according to the surfer, which shows the robustness of a Rolex watch, which was originally designed for diving.
