The two survivors of the accident with a helicopter that crashed last week in Caieiras, Greater São Paulo, remain hospitalized in a hospital in the capital of São Paulo
The survivors are the aircraft pilot and a 12-year-old girl who was the daughter of the business couple who died in the accident.
Information about the hospitalization was confirmed by Big Brazil, a company owned by André Feldman – one of those killed in the helicopter crash. The company, however, did not provide details about the health status of the survivors.
How was the accident
The helicopter carrying the four people, model EC 130B4. was on his way to Americana (SP) when he lost his GPS signal at around 8:34 pm on Thursday (16). The aircraft was found the following morning.
According to a missing persons report registered by the victims’ families, the helicopter took off in heavy rain. The causes of the accident are being investigated by Cenipa (Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center).
Rescue teams began the search in the early hours of Friday (17). Pilot Edenilson de Oliveira Costa was found alive and removed from the forest by agents. The girl was later removed on a stretcher by rescue teams and taken to the hospital.
