Susana Vieira on influencers in soap operas: “Lesser notion of who they are”

The actress Susana Vieira 81, shared her opinion on the trend of casting digital influencers in television productions. Without false modesty, she spoke about the impact she had on the Brazilian population, who have loyally followed her since the beginning of her career, and declared herself the true “influencer”.

In a conversation with journalist Marcos Bulques, from the Conexão Entrevista portal, during the launch of the author’s memoirs Aguinaldo Silva the small screen diva admitted that she doesn’t even know today’s content creators.

“I have no idea who they are, I swear to God. I don’t understand who they are, my love. I’m an influencer. I am an influence. I’ve been on TV Globo for 40 years. I’ve influenced 40 thousand people in all these years. The Brazilian soap opera,” he said.

The actress added that established figures in the cultural scene should be valued for their contributions to the industry.

“Influencer is Aguinaldo Silva, influencers are authors from TV Globo, influencers are great actors, influencers are great Brazilian singers, musicians”, he concluded.
