American actor Eddie Hassell, was shot and killed in a random robbery that took place on 1st November. After being shot multiple times, the 30-year-old actor died in Texas. He was best known for his roles in movies warrior road (2016), family weekend (2013) and the kids are alright (2010). After being shot at Grand Prairie, Hassel was taken to a hospital where he passed away shortly.
On Nov 5th, Wednesday, D’Jon Antone, aged 18, was arrested by the by the US Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force and Grand Prairie Police as a suspect for capital murder. The suspect is currently under police detention
According to the police; Antone is not a resident of Grand Prairie and is being held with bail set at $500,000, at the Grand Prairie Detention Center. Also, the robbery has been described as a “random robbery” by the police.
Whether Mr. Antone had a legal counselor or not was not immediately clear. It was also not possible to immediately reach the suspects family for comments, and a representative for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office said she no extra information was available.
According to Officer Mark Beseda, a spokesman for the Grand Prairie police, the suspect was arrested in Dallas, which is where he was living currently. Other than this, no additional details have been released by the department.
“We believe that this was a robbery gone bad,” he said.
As for now, Hassell’s family is raising money for memorial services on GoFundMe.
