The Civil Police found images of the car of the military police officer killed in the parking lot of a mall in São Paulo stored on the cell phone of one of the suspects of the crime.
At a news conference on Wednesday (16), the police also said that the Hyundai Veloster vehicle used in the crime appears following the victim’s car upon arrival at the mall’s parking lot.
Search and seizure warrants were fulfilled on Wednesday at addresses linked to Alan Felipe Bonifácio de Jesus and Osvaldo Bonifácio de Jesus, the main suspects of the crime. They are still at large.
The victim was identified as Abel Silva da Siqueira. The reserve military policeman was arrested in 2024 for the murder of Luan Henrique Bonifácio, brother and son of Alan and Osvaldo, during a traffic fight. The PM was arrested, but had the request for pre -trial detention denied by the court and responded to the case in freedom. For these reasons, investigators believe that the crime was a revenge on Luan’s family members.
Police reached the names of the suspects after located the car used in the abandoned crime on an avenue near the scene of the incident. The vehicle belongs to Osvaldo, but has only the fingerprints of Alan.
At Alan’s residence, bullets were found, a cell phone with images of the victim’s car and his functional wallet (CNH), as well as a shaved and municized weapon.
For the police, the possession of this information indicates that the crime was premeditated.
“We found bullets that were already prepared for everyone to leave. We found a phone that had images of the victim’s car and even the victim’s documents. That is, they had a lot of information,” explained delegate Valdecir Aparecido do Nascimento, head of 24 DP.
The PM family also states that he was already receiving threats and had reported that a strange vehicle was circulating near their house.
Investigators also await the Metro Itaquera mall to provide the full images of the monitoring circuit.
According to police, the business center administration refused to give in to the information and it was only possible to access videos after a court decision last night. A security head was taken to the police station to give testimony and police are studying legal measures about the episode.
