Authorities highlighted that a crossbow (a weapon that fires arrows) was recovered as part of the investigation into the murders of Carol Hunt, Hannah Hunt and Louise Hunt, the wife and two daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer offered his condolences and said the Home Secretary would review crossbow legislation.
Starmer is in the United States, where he met Joe Biden.
A vigil for the victims was held on Thursday at St James’ Church in Bushey, the town where the three victims lived.
