A man was arrested this Tuesday (9), in Nova Iguaçu, accused of killing a person after a fight over a parking space. According to the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station (DHBF), Douglas de Oliveira Rodrigues was placed under preventive detention for the qualified homicide of Alessandro de Souza Gomes.
According to investigations, on June 17 last year, Douglas took his ex-partner to go shopping at a commercial establishment and parked the vehicle in front of the victim's house. After an argument over where the car was parked, the suspect took out his gun and shot Alessandro, who had no chance of defending himself. Douglas then fled the scene.
At the time of arrest, the suspect offered no resistance. He had two pistols, one caliber 40 and the other caliber 380, as well as 77 ammunition of different calibers. Douglas claimed that the weapons were legal, but the pistols were seized for forensic examinations.
