The man suspected of killing Thallita da Cruz Fernandes, whose body was found inside a suitcase in São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, was arrested this Saturday (19), according to the city’s Specialized Division of Criminal Investigations.
The suspect is Davi Izaque Martins Silva, who is 26 years old and was the victim’s boyfriend.
Deputy Alceu Lima de Oliveira Junior, one of those responsible for the case, explained that Thallita’s family could not contact her by phone on Thursday (17th), and decided to call the police on Friday (18th) because of that. .
The Military Police went to the woman’s apartment and found her dead in the service area, inside a suitcase, with stab wounds all over her body.
Thallita da Cruz Fernandes was 29 years old and a doctor graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Rio Preto (Famerp).
In a statement, Famerp mourned Thallita’s death. “His premature departure saddens us. Our condolences to family and friends in this moment of sadness and consternation ”, communicated the institution.
