This Friday (13), the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station is carrying out efforts to locate and arrest the man who killed his own uncle and set fire to his house in the Santo Expedito neighborhood, in Queimados, Baixada Fluminense. The crime occurred this Thursday (12), when the suspect was trying to escape from the police for committing another murder before.
Rômulo da Rocha Brito, known as Coruja, is suspected of having killed teenager Raquel Portugal Silva, aged 16, last Wednesday (11), in the community of Rio das Pedras, in the West Zone of Rio. According to investigations, the crime was committed because the minor did not agree to maintain a romantic relationship with him.
After the murder, Rômulo fled towards Baixada Fluminense to try to hide in a farm that his family has in the region.
However, his relatives did not accept taking him in. Outraged, Rômulo shot his own uncle, Eduardo de Resende, aged 44, several times, who died at the scene. The criminal also set fire to the family’s residence and fled on foot.
Investigations indicate that Rômulo is a member of the Rio das Pedras militia.
