The ParanĂ¡ Civil Police temporarily arrested a 42 -year -old man suspected of involvement in the Death of grandmother and granddaughter in Jataizinho in the north of the state.
The suspect was assaulted by popular last Wednesday (26) and taken to the University Hospital (HU) of Londrina, where he remained under police escort until he was discharged last night (27).
The arrest was confirmed at a news conference by the ParanĂ¡ Secretary of Public Security, Colonel Hudson LeĂ´ncio Teixeira. According to him, images and information collected during the investigation led to the decision to request the temporary detention of the suspect, who had the genetic material collected for comparison with evidence found at the crime scene.
“All evidence was analyzed and, therefore, the temporary arrest of this person was requested for examinations, both at the scene of the crime and in the bodies of the victims,” ​​explained the secretary. In addition, he pointed out that the detention also aims to ensure the suspect’s integrity, as there was a start of lynching before the police arrived.
The Civil Police have not yet detailed what the suspect’s participation would be in the crime and investigates the possible existence of others involved.
Remember the case
The crime occurred last Saturday (22), when Marley Gomes de Almeida, 53, and her granddaughter, Ana Carolina Almeida Anacleto, 11, were found dead indoors.
According to the Military Police, a message written with blood was found on the wall next to the bodies. The victims were on the bed, with signs of violence and scarves tied around the neck.
SSP/PR stressed that the investigation is still underway and that new steps are being carried out. In addition, policing was intensified in Jataizinho to ensure the safety of the population.
The Civil Police advises that any relevant information about the case can be passed on anonymously through official complaint channels.
