One of the suspects of involvement in the crime that killed Professor Fernanda Reinecke Bonin, 42, had a collection of laces at home, according to the Civil Police in a press conference on Friday (9). The man was identified as John Paul. Fernanda was found dead on the 28th with signs of strangulation, caused by a lace.
The victim’s former partner, Fernanda Loureiro Fazio, 45, is pointed out as the mastermind, and is pre-prevented.
According to investigations, she and four other people would have participated in the crime.
In addition to family tensions with the couple’s separation and child custody, police are investigating if jealousy and financial issues were motivations for the crime.
The victim had started a new relationship and was preparing for a change abroad, where he would have received a professional proposal.
Another point investigated is a life insurance of $ 500,000, of which the children were beneficiaries. As a legal guardian for the children, the former partner could have indirect access to the value.
In addition to Fernanda, João Paulo Bourquin, Rosemberg Joaquim de Santana, Ivo Resende dos Santos and another woman, who was not named by police, are among the suspects.
The investigation pointed out that Rosemberg was a kind of “Do Everything” of Fernanda and that he would have cooperated the others for the murder. However, it still does not know the dynamics of each of those involved. João Paulo and Fernanda are arrested. Rosemberg and Ivo are considered fugitive. Both already had a history of murder and involvement of drug trafficking.
The teacher’s body was found on a wasteland in the south of the capital, with strangling marks. In the victim’s car, a knife and a cell phone without chip were found.
The case is treated as femicide and continues under investigation by the Department of Homicides and Protection of Persons (DHPP), which still seeks to clarify the order of participation of those involved and arrest the other suspects.
