A suspect of throwing grenade in a car with two civilian police during an attempted robbery was arrested on Thursday (3). The arrest took place in the city of Viçosa (MG) about 230 kilometers from Belo Horizonte.
The crime occurred on March 19 in the West Zone of Rio. The police were attacked by the trio as they passed the Road of Engenho D’Agua and retaliated. During the confrontation, one of the suspects hurled the artifact, which exploded in the car and left the agents injured.
With the attempted frustrated robbery, the men fled to the Blue Gardenia (RJ) community. The teams of the 32nd DP (Taquara) and 17th DP (São Cristóvão) found that the suspect of throwing the Granada had fled to a house in Viçosa (MG).
The police from the 38th DP (Brás de Pina) and Minas Gerais Civil Police teams went to the scene and arrested the man. Still in the same house, a fugitive man of justice was also arrested.
Regarding the other two involved in the crime, one of them was arrested days after the crime for drug trafficking. Police are still taking steps to arrest the last suspect.
