The three men suspected of kidnapping and killing the 20-year-old Natany Alves Sales, had their pre-trial detention decreed by the court on Monday (17).
Natany was approached by the suspects last Sunday (16), on the way out of a church in Quixeramobim, in the interior of Ceará. The trio, arrested on the day of the crime, had a custody hearing on Monday afternoon (17).
According to investigations, the three suspects were found and arrested in Quixadá, about 43 kilometers from the place where Natany was kidnapped. According to the case file, those involved in the crime were identified as Francisco Márcio Freire, 43, born in Quixadá (CE). He has already introduced himself as a pastor and has criminal records for theft; Francisco Teodosio Ramos, 43, born in Fortaleza (CE). The man has records of domestic violence and responded to judicial proceedings for injury; and Jardson do Nascimento Silva, 23, born in Russas (CE), the only one who had no criminal record.
According to police, the trio spent Saturday (15) consuming alcohol and drugs. On Sunday, the three decided to steal a car to sell and pay off debts. On Sunday afternoon, they found the young Natany alone, leaving the church and heading toward her vehicle. The suspects then kidnapped the young woman.

Search operation
The search for Natany generated great commotion among the residents of Quixeramobim, who joined to try to find her. She was in the church and had gone out to get something in the car. Upon noticing the girl’s delay in returning to the place, friends and family started looking for information and saw, through the cameras of a nearby establishment, the exact moment the girl was taken. Police were fired and the images were shared on social networks.
During the kidnapping, a task force between the Civil and Military Police of the State of Ceará was started in search of Natany. According to the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense, the agents located the car of the abandoned young woman in Quixadá, approximately 43 kilometers away. With the location of the car, the teams were also able to identify the suspects and made the arrests in the region.
In testimony, the three confessed to the crime and indicated where Natany’s body had been left. It was located in Laranjeiras, in the city of Banabuiú. According to police, the victim reacted to the abduction and was eventually killed by stones.
