SW: the secret bar behind an unsettling candy store in São Paulo

The striking façade, at the end of a cul-de-sac and close to an award-winning and traditional restaurant in the city, is colorful and attracts children and adults with its candies and imported chocolate bars. There is a “harmless” candy store, which actually works during the day, but at night the magic happens.

For the unsuspecting, the hubbub of people dressed in party clothes at the door makes no sense, but a closer look at the hostess – this one dressed in the best style “The Fantastic Chocolate Factory” – to realize that there guests, anxious, give their names to be allowed to enter. The amount of people who enter the small space and as if by magic disappear and it is possible to see that there is something much more there.

At the time agreed to via WhatsApp with the establishment, a magical door will open and a horse (the kind of carousel in an amusement park) will take you to an environment that does not resemble a colorful reception.

With the architect’s project Hebert Holdefer, a huge ceiling height in a two-story space, painted in sober colors and elements that resemble Harry Potter’s Castle, the SW has a seating capacity of up to 180 people and surprises even the most knowledgeable and knowledgeable about the subject.

When (literally) getting off the horse, a sticker is pasted onto the cell phone’s camera. Photos are expressly prohibited, which has already made the place the right spot for famous people who want a night without clicks.

Among the must-see items are the Cassava Gnocchi in Mandala Cheese Fonduta and Nero Tartufo covered with pangrattato and mushrooms (R$ 98) and Pulpo Fictions, slowly cooked octopus croquettes and leeks breaded in Panko flour and black garlic served with Smoked paprika mayonnaise (R$ 88).
