Cryptocurrency exchange Swyftx has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Australian National Rugby League (NRL) to promote the cryptocurrency industry to sports fans.
As in many countries of the world, rugby in Australia is among the top 10 sports in terms of popularity. Cryptocurrency exchange Swyftx has signed a long-term sponsorship agreement with the NRL, which will see the NRL as “Swyftx Bunker” over the next three years, with the Swyftx brand displayed at all league events and TV broadcasts.
Swyftx CEO Ryan Parsons noted that Australia is “seeing an almost instant adoption of cryptocurrencies.” Coupled with the mass appeal of sports, the exchanges receive “an extremely important channel for making themselves known” and gaining wide recognition.
“The partnerships we are seeing now are a sign of growing confidence in the future of crypto and its potential for mainstream adoption. The real question now is not whether cryptocurrency will remain, but how quickly it will change the future of the global economy and traditional financial services. The exchanges are basically saying that we are here to help people embrace new technologies and opportunities,” Parsons said.
In early February, the Crypto.com exchange became the official partner of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, and at the end of last year, the FTX cryptocurrency derivatives exchange received the rights to international sponsorship of the Golden State Warriors American NBA basketball club.
