South by Southwest, better known as SXSW, is primarily focused on helping creative people achieve their goals. The annual fair takes place in Austin, in the United States and is considered one of the biggest technology, music, innovation and culture events in the world, also bringing attractions from different countries.
This year, the edition will take place from March 8th to 16th. and will feature conference sessions, film and TV festival screenings, music festival showcases, comedy festival sets, world-class exhibitions, competitions, awards and more.
To access the event, different types of badges, the so-called badges, are being made available for purchase. In addition, there is the possibility of discounts for groups and students.
How much does a SXSW 2024 ticket cost?
There are four ticket categories for the event: Platinum, Interactive, Film & TV and Music . All badges receive primary access to conference keynotes, all conference badge banners, exhibits, and showcases of comedy. O Platinum Badge is the key to everything SXSW has to offer, with first-party access to all events.
Already the Interactive category grants primary access to all conference programming and interactive events. In addition, this ticket grants secondary access to most of the festival's programming.
Already Film & TV and Music badges give primary access to their label type's respective tracks and conference events.

- Music : US$890 (approximately R$4,407.28 in current conversion) and US$995 if purchased on the day of the event (around R$4,927.24)
- Film & TV : US$1345 (approximately R$6,660.44 in current conversion) and US$1595 if purchased on the day of the event (around R$7,898.44)
- Interactive : US$1445 (approximately R$7,155.64 in current conversion) and US$1695 if purchased on the day of the event (around R$8,393.64)
- Platinum : US$ 1835 (approximately R$ 9,086.92 in current conversion) and US$ 2095 if purchased on the day of the event (around R$ 10,374.44)
Badge pickup will be open March 3-16 in Exhibit Hall 1 at the Austin Convention Center.
Discounts on tickets
It is important to highlight that registrations made before January 11th had savings on fees and, therefore, were cheaper. On the other hand, tickets purchased on the day (walk-up ratein English) will also be more expensive, as stated above.
Currently enrolled or recently graduated students may be eligible for discounts. To do this, the interested party must fill out the form to receive a discount based on your status. Discounts are debited from the current rate and work as follows: 50% for students, 40% for first-year graduates and 30% for the second year following graduation.
Large groups of 10 or more people also have discounts. To do this, members must register with the site of the event. It is possible to carry out accreditation even if all names have not yet been defined.
