Syria: Damascus airport was shut down again after Israeli airstrikes

Damascus’ international airport was again targeted by Israeli airstrikes that shut it down today, nearly 30 hours after flights resumed after a similar attack last month, Syrian media and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

“The Israeli air force launched a new strike on Sunday afternoon targeting Damascus International Airport (…) putting it out of action again,” the Observatory said.

Syrian pro-government newspaper Al Watan reported that flights bound for the Syrian capital’s airport were being diverted to Latakia and Aleppo airports.
