More than 1,300 people were killed within a week of fierce conflicts between communities in Swaida province of South Syria, dominated by the Drouzian minority, according to the latest report by the Syrian Human Rights Observatory. The conflicts broke out on June 13 and stopped with the ceasefire that came into force on Sunday. The organization explained that it gathered evidence for other deaths before the truce came into force. The dead are 533 fighters and 300 citizens belonging to the Druze community (a total of 833 members of this community), of which 196 “were executed by summary procedures” by members of the “Ministries of Defense and Interior” forces.
