Syrians manifest themselves in support of the country’s new government in Damascus and Alepo

Syrians in Damascus and Aleppo gathered in defense of the new government of Syria on Friday as he fights what he called “remnants of the regime of the deposed president Bashar Al-Assad” in Latakia, Jableh and other cities with Mayor.

Protesters held flags in the country, applauded the government and asked him to use iron fist against anyone who wanted to “destabilize” the country.

Syrian security forces fought for the second day on Friday to crush a nascent insurgency of Alauíta de Bashar Al-Assad combatants, with dozens of reported dead while the government led by Islamists faced the biggest challenge so far to its authority.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that more than 130 people were killed in two days of violence in the coastal region of Western Syria, which is densely populated by members of the Alauite minority.

They included at least two dozen men’s residents of the city of Al Mukhtareyah killed by gunmen on Friday, the observatory and two Alauítas activists said, quoting contacts in the area and video images of the scene.

Syrian authorities said the violence began when remaining loyal to the deposed leader Assad launched a deadly and well-planned attack on their forces on Thursday (6).
