SYRIZA: ‘Break’ from the internal party, due to … hope

By Niki Zorba

The onslaught of “hope” in Athens began yesterday much earlier than the meteorological forecast, taking Alexis Tsipras out of the program: He had convened a meeting – and in fact live – of the SYRIZA Parliamentary Group, early in the morning.

“Elpida” changed the agenda

The snow “burned” the first – after the announcements of A. Tsipras for the changes in SYRIZA – meeting of the parliamentary group under its chairman. It was finally postponed, for Thursday.

The internal party field in SYRIZA is somewhat reminiscent of “moving sand”: The internal opposition party has not lived its weapon, despite the objections and objections that it maintains, which remain in opposition to Mr. Tsipras’s plans for the election of a party leader and central committee. by party members, but no extreme introversion has yet shaken the party.

There are – the news for SYRIZA would be if they did not exist – public “shouts” between “guards” of A. Tsipras and executives of Umbrella (P. Polakis – N. Filis), as well as an attempt for firefighting interventions (N. Bistis and “bridges”). However, they are still looking for their “footprints” in the internal party minority after the fire that Alexis Tsipras lit for them and for the time being they have not engaged in a war of theft.

All this came yesterday (and today obviously) for a while on the sidelines of the Syriza agenda as everyone was united by the “hope” that came, exposing once again the state mechanism.

In the frame is K. Mitsotakis

SYRIZA did not miss the opportunity to bring back the “staff mess” that is its slogan, months now.

With two of his interventions on twitter, one even after midnight, Alexis Tsipras “nailed” the staff state, on the occasion of the indescribable scenes on Attiki Odos:

“… It is difficult to sleep tonight. My thoughts are on the hundreds of our fellow citizens, who spend the night trapped in the cold and abandoned by the state that has collapsed unprecedentedly. Courage, strength, patience.”

Centrally, however, SYRIZA completed its critical statements yesterday, putting the Prime Minister himself in the frame, describing “chaos”:

“In dozens of streets all over Athens, thousands of citizens are still trapped for endless hours without a single bottle of water.

The operation to free the approximately 5,000 drivers and passengers of cars trapped on Attiki Odos, by the Army, started with a long delay and has not yet brought any results.

At the same time, 200 passengers, including injured, are in the middle of nowhere after a train collision, waiting for ten hours of help without heating.

While thousands of households go out at night without electricity and heating due to failures in the PPC network.

Newsletters may have been magically cut from all television channels, but thousands of our fellow citizens are going through helpless and abandoned by the state, extremely difficult times.

We call on Mr. Mitsotakis, who has been missing for hours, to take responsibility for this chaos. To give explanations for the unprecedented collapse of the state and at the same time a basic plan for when and how they intend to help the thousands of our fellow citizens trapped and exposed to the cold “.
