SYRIZA: End-party tensions and endless quarrels

They called him a “pre-conference dialogue” and blessed him there in SYRIZA. It is undoubtedly pre-conference. Dialogue yes, in a sense but not “companion”.

The leadership of SYRIZA may have its eyes fixed on Monday, when it will have completely clarified the landscape in KINAL with the – except shockingly unexpected – predominance of Nikos Androulakis, however in the endosyrian ecosystem, the background shows that the knives in anticipation of the February conference.

The time milestone is indicative, of course, in the sense that the planning of the third SYRIZA conference for February 27 will go through the pandemic of the pandemic. It is obvious that if the epidemiological conditions do not allow it, then this will not be done according to the plan and will be passed in time for misrepresentation.

Pretext

The so-called “pre-conference dialogue” taking place in the main opposition party in the meantime is nothing more than a vehicle or a pretext for others to clear up the internal party accounts that have been pending for years now, on the way to the congress. Already through articles and interventions, two different worlds and strategies are colliding in SYRIZA: The presidential and the Umbrella. Regardless of whether both tendencies evoke responsibilities and objections to cultivating a climate of introversion or a logic of clearing accounts, this is probably the case.

The suspicion between the two camps is not “news” that they are mutual but at every opportunity “outbreaks” of serious quarrel are created. Just the other day, a bad thing happened inside SYRIZA with Andreas Xanthos and his refusal – in essence – to cover up the complaints of the central SYRIZA, which encapsulated the accusations of POEDIN, about ICUs that are “held” for VIP.

Suspicion

The attitude of Mr. Xanthos (who finally issued an outrageous statement denying that he does not share the “line” of his party) led the “abscess” to fire. The Head of Health of SYRIZA, belonging to “Umbrella” and firmly against the political logic of Polakis, was faced with the month not only of “presidential” MPs but also of “small and medium” executives around SYRIZA.

A member of parliament who is close to the wider presidential bloc and is in an “open line” with Alexis Tsipras, said speaking to “K” with particular intensity that: “Some people in Umbrella have a strategy of defeat and constantly create disagreements and problems.”

On the part of the “umbrellas”, however, also a top executive of Tasi, commented to “K” that again the “acquaintances” of the presidential guard, instead of dealing with real and serious issues to which the Mitsotakis government is exposed, are consumed in populist crowns and’s supposedly chasing internal party enemies.

Nikos Filis, head of the education department and also a member of the “Umbrella” Trend, moved in this grosso modo line – publicly – with his statements. Unequivocally stated in Kathimerini his disagreement with complaints “ICU only for VIP”, he said that his party is sometimes seduced by the “television opposition” and that the deaths should not be an element of opposition tactics.

What remains in demand 2.5 years after the elections and the restart in SYRIZA attempted by Alexis Tsipras? The capitulation of all with the central aspirations and the physiognomy of the party. Not only has this not been achieved in the main opposition party, but on the contrary, the closer the congress gets, the brighter the “blades” of internal party knives will be for the “Radical Left” line to prevail without a “leader-centered party” or “party.” centered “line with integration and social democratic proposals?

The issues to be resolved are not all political, although they have political characteristics. It is absolutely political to disagree with the opposition stance of SYRIZA: Laiko Vs populist, but the opponents undoubtedly have personal characteristics. Logical in a sense since the ambassadors of the two lines have diametrically opposed views and political aesthetics (Tsakalotos – Pappas, for example).

Pressing Tsipras in the “new” KINAL

Alexis Tsipras reacts case-by-case to the internal party “dramas” (lasting) that unfold in SYRIZA. That is, he does not approve a priori in the form of a blank check the way the presidential bloc moves (on the contrary, in a few cases he has “emptied” them) but he is also annoyed with the “babel” image that the party gives when public officials of the party take distances. from the central “line” (As happened recently with Andreas Xanthos).

Beyond that, he continues to move in an extroverted strategy: he “scans” the Region with weekly tours and speeches, pounding the Government while “recording”, according to his interlocutors, the citizens’ strong dissatisfaction with the Government.

Sunday’s elections in KINAL, not only clarify the landscape for who will eventually lead the party’s SYRIZA party, but also “loosen” the hands from now on to Alexis Tsipras to send a “signal” that he could not while the internal party process was in progress in the Movement for Change.

Already Mr. Tsipras, three days before the ballots of the second round, “showed” how he intends to move against the new leader of KINAL-PASOK: By pressing to get a “position” on whether he will join SYRIZA or the N.D. In fact, Mr. Tsipras aggressively told KINAL through Ioannina that if he wants to belong to the “democratic faction”, then he should automatically distance himself “from the right”.

It is also recalled that Alexis Tsipras’s “appointments” with the leaders of the “democratic opposition” are still pending, as he has said, in order to exclude K. Velopoulos from the provocation.
