SYRIZA-PS blames the ND for the case of “wiretapping”, with its announcement and directs questions to the government.
SYRIZA accuses ND of “thinking that through the omerta that it always imposes when a subject is unpleasant for it, it will be able to eliminate the shocking revelations that follow one another in the wiretapping scandal” and explains: “After all day yesterday it was bombarding the Media with leaks where, among other things, they contained dialogues and positions of its ministers that projected websites and channels, from the otherwise secret process in the Institutions and Transparency Committee, as soon as the commander of the EYP was forced to confess to the surveillance of the journalist Th. Koukakis and indeed at the beck and call of foreign agencies, began to blather on about lifelong secrecy and breach of privacy.”
ND must understand that it is not the one that is in a position to make suggestions, reports SYRIZA and adds that “the wiretapping scandal is huge, it concerns monitoring of Greek citizens and a political leader and instead of hiding behind set procedures, it must give answers to many questions:
– Why was the EYP monitoring a financial editor who was investigating corruption cases citing reasons of national security? What were those reasons?
– If the monitoring, as Mr. Kontoleon said, was done at the request of a foreign agency, which one is it?
– Does the EYP respond uncritically to the requests of foreign agencies that want to monitor Greek citizens?
– Why did the government representative try to cloud the waters when he was asked about the monitoring of Mr. Koukakis and was talking about cases between private individuals when the journalist, as Mr. Kontoleon revealed, was being monitored by the EYP?
– Will the government answer who is this “private person” who with the same link hacked Mr. Koukakis’ mobile phone and tried to hack Mr. Androulakis’s mobile phone as well? Who is this “private” who follows a journalist and a political leader who have no relation to each other?”.
