SYRIZA-PS: Small and medium entrepreneurship broadcasts SOS

The need to support small and medium enterprises is emphasized in a joint statement by the Head of Development and Investment K.O. SYRIZA-PS Alexis Haritsis and the deputy heads of departments Haris Mamoulakis and Giannis Sarakiotis, on the occasion of today’s “Small and Medium Enterprises Day”.

“Small and medium-sized businesses are emitting SOS. The more than 800,000 SMEs, once the backbone of the economy treated like zombies by the Mitsotakis government, are struggling with declining turnover, accumulated debt, banking foreclosure and the inflation crisis,” he said. the MPs of the official opposition, pointing out that “SYRIZA-PS has presented a comprehensive package of realistic and costed proposals”.

Specifically, they state: “The redesign of the Recovery Fund resources so that SMEs can meet the challenges of the green transition and the digital economy, the write-off of part of the debt of the pandemic and the repayment of the balance in 120 installments, the activation of the Structure “Businesses that we had launched in 2018, are just some of the steps that the government should have implemented a long time ago, if it did not show ostentatious indifference, if it did not aim at the disappearance of the media”.

“A progressive government based on SYRIZA-PS, will create an overall framework that will support and upgrade the small and medium enterprise, in order to play its role in the current extremely demanding conditions,” they conclude.

* June 27th was established as “Small and Medium Enterprise Day” by a UN decision on 6/4/2017.

The aim of this Day is to highlight the importance of small and medium entrepreneurship in sustainable development and the promotion of decent work, creativity and innovation.
