Gold bonuses from ND and the blue golden boys on ERT, at the moment when the Public Radio and Television is devalued daily, underline 37 deputies of SYRIZA Progressive Alliance, with their question to the Deputy Minister despite the Prime Minister Mr. G. Economou.
The initiative of the deposition is of N. Gara, Deputy Head of Communication & Information of SYRIZA PS and of the Head of Vote. Governance of SYRIZA PS, M. Katsi. Official opposition MPs emphatically ask the following questions.
1) What is the cost of the “golden” salaries in the budget of ERT? SA, which concerns the Joint Ministerial Decision proposed to the co-competent ministers by the Board of Directors?
2) How many, who, and in which positions, are going to receive the “golden” salaries, based on the joint ministerial decision?
3) By what criteria were the positions included in the Joint Ministerial Decision selected to be characterized as special categories and to receive the fat salaries?
The Board of E.R.T. SA with the decision of 17 February 2022 (Prot. No. 4597 – ΑΔΑ: ΨΥΡΝ465Θ1Ε-ΑΨ0), decided and approved unanimously -absence of the employees’ representatives- the new “Remuneration Policy of ERT SA”. In fact, he submitted a relevant proposal of a draft Joint Ministerial Decision to the co-competent Ministries, so that the new “golden” salaries of the “golden children” appointed by the New Democracy to the Public Radio and Television begin to be paid immediately.
The possibility that the Management of E.R.T. to offer remuneration, out of any rule and restriction, was given with par. 2 of art. “persons of the company who are authorized to plan…” (see addition of par. 7 to art. 22 of law 4354/2015 on salaries in the Public Sector).
The claim that high salaries are given to attract new executives from the market is obviously hypocritical since the new salaries will be received by those who have already been hired, as an ex-post salary booze. Messrs. Zoulas and Gabritsios -in one night- create a caste of like-minded golden boys in order to complete the conversion of ERT. in a “blue” manor.
At a time when citizens are unable to meet their fixed obligations, with the accuracy of sweeping and energy costs making almost prohibitive costs for travel and heating, the New Democracy… Louis’s logic distributes “sponge cake” to its own children.
At the same time, the golden boys are sending the hard-working ERT employees – of the single salaries – to war zones without organization, without even the basic equipment and without insurance coverage. Only afterwards was the ERT Management forced to use equipment provided by ESIEA.
And in all, the “excellent” of ERT. shut down the shortwave transmitter in Avlida which could be used for broadcasts in areas of direct Greek interest in Ukraine and the wider region.
The cost of such a vital service was considered enormous by the Administration, which considered that the priority is the hefty salaries of the “blue” executives and not the information of the Greek expatriates in the war zones.
As a “culmination” of the above reversals, the fiasco and the possible deception of the public opinion with the non-existent correspondent of ERT are revealed. in Moscow, who reportedly reported from the Russian capital while he was in Greece for months.
For all this, the leaders of E.R.T. They considered that they should reward themselves – following the example of the appointed executives of PPC – so that they could continue, with great pay, the rapid devaluation of the public Broadcasting. It is the first time -in a period of important events- that ERT receives such indifference from the citizens, with the numbers of viewers being constantly decreasing.

The competent Minister is asked:
1) What is the cost of the “golden” salaries in the budget of ERT? SA, which concerns the Joint Ministerial Decision proposed to the co-competent ministers by the Board of Directors?
2) How many, who, and in which positions, are going to receive the “golden” salaries, based on the joint ministerial decision?
3) By what criteria were the positions included in the Joint Ministerial Decision selected to be characterized as special categories and to receive the fat salaries?
