SYRIZA: SYRIZA ‘solid’ in view of elections – How did they see the ‘invitation’ of Tsakalotos to Varoufaki

Given first: The electoral dilemma for SYRIZA as eAlexis Tsipras addressed yesterday at the meeting of his parliamentary group are: SYRIZA victory and end nightmare or endless nightmare. It is marching hard against the government, with a clear focus on the anti-right reflections of the Electorate.

This worked to some extent in 2019, as at its worst moment, coming out of a traumatic government, the choice of an “anti-right” front in response to the “anti-SYRIZA” current, brought him a not inconsiderable electoral percentage.

“Antimitsotaki” reflexes

Is it enough for him to make the upset based on the polls? Probably not. SYRIZA (hence also Ev. Tsakalotos), has a rhetoric of “invitation to coexist with all the progressive or self-proclaimed progressive (as A. Tsipras often clarifies) forces.

The essential address is to KINAL obviously (whose door is closed) but it also includes (?) Mera25, KKE.

They do not want either Varoufakis or the KKE: They want their voters.

Especially regarding G. Varoufakis and his party, the discussion inside SYRIZA lasts … years. In particular, the “Umbrella” (before even the unification of the “53” with the “party”) insisted on the need to “open” the party to executives and the base of Mera25.
