The number one danger to the government as is now reflected in opinion polls, SYRIZA will continue to use this precision with cyclical and escalating moves with a very clear goal: to crush the government in general, the prime minister in particular and to isolate the ND politically, through the reactions of the opposition.
The President of SYRIZA, who counts down for the internal party procedures on May 15, which are also his personal bet, sharpens its political discourse on a daily basis, accompanying the sharpening by corresponding initiatives.
Yesterday, he toured in Ilia (and in the context of a rally of SYRIZA and its members in view of the elections for the election of chairman – new central committee), tabled a topical question to the Prime Minister regarding the “golden boys” of PPC, while the issue of hours (or a few days) is the submission by SYRIZA of the amendment for the adjustment clause. It calls on the government to enable consumers not to pay the adjustment clause until justice has been served.
The whole of SYRIZA is moving at the same pace. They have put aside for the time being – at least publicly – the internal rivalries and all the “hammers” are hitting in the direction of the government’s sideline.
The assessments of Alexis Tsipras’s collaborators that he is not only in a “downward spiral” but also that with the “toolbox” of the options he has made, there is no chance to offer tangible solutions that will “soften” the social dissatisfaction.
Beyond that, of course, despite the deterioration of the polls for the government and the reduction of the gap between ND-SYRIZA, the polling performance of the official opposition product of the time, “consolidates” the image and the assessment that the former ruling party, in no way “charms” the Citizens as an alternative force of power. Significant stagnation is found in its percentages.
PASOK-KINAL and the elections
However, they welcomed Koumoundourou with the change of attitude of the president of PASOK-KINAL towards the possibility of elections. Nikos Androulakis, from December when he was elected until … the day before yesterday, completely separated the position of his party from the electoral request made by SYRIZA, in the same period (at the end of December).
But in an interview (Star of Central Greece) on Monday night, the president of PASOK, for the first time, referred to the need for the country to go to the polls – with different tones and rhetoric than that of SYRIZA obviously:
“They ask me why I do not ask for elections. It does not make sense in our constitution. But at the point we have reached with this government, elections must be held. I find it inconceivable that the current government should manage the 72 billion of the recovery fund and the NSRF.” said Mr. Androulakis characteristically, who, although he did not approach his logic “let them leave”, but referred unequivocally to the usefulness of holding early elections.
Some in Koumoundourou speculate that over time (and the developments on the front of accuracy), Mr. Androulakis will make an even more “vivid” electoral request.
For the time being, however, SYRIZA’s attitude towards its neighboring party reflects the “whip-carrot” tactic: It intensifies the pressure on the leadership to “open its cards” for the next day of the ballot box, but avoids personal conflicts and increased decibels. staying on the line: we address an invitation to attend.
