All the “hammers” of SYRIZA are hitting in the direction of accuracy and the energy crisis, targeting Kyriakos Mitsotakis in particular and the government in general (in this order of priority).
A decision has already been made since the Russian invasion of Ukraine for Koumoundourou to “fight” in order to neutralize the government’s argument that, to be precise and an energy crisis, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has multiplied. That is commonly introduced, the double crisis.
Hence it is in all the statements of the competent executives of the main opposition party that the explosive rise in energy prices and price increases of goods appeared in the country long before the bloodshed reserved by Putin in Ukraine.
Elections and accuracy
Alexis Tsipras is increasing the decibels of his criticism every day: Yesterday from Messinia he spoke about “energy poverty” that the citizens are facing, for Mr. Mitsotakis’ conscious choice not to put a brake on speculation for the benefit of the “strong” and the cartels, a critique that “snaps” with its overall narrative in general: The Government dries up only the interests of the powerful, as its clear choice.
On a daily basis in the meantime, SYRIZA (and through its Representative, N. Iliopoulos) reiterates that it should be born for dealing with accuracy (proposals for measures which are included in the “commitments” of SYRIZA whenever elections are called):
– Immediate reduction of NPVs in oil and fuel, fuel ceiling, control of notoriety, intervention in the pricing policy of PPC, increase of the basic salary, but also regulation and write-off of the pandemic debt for small and medium enterprises and self-employed to breathe again, of the country’s energy policy.
For example, suddenly the sirens of the election alarm sounded in SYRIZA. Just the day before yesterday, during his president’s meeting with the “coffee team”, his close associates were officially named: Political Center.
There, Mr. Tsipras crossed the “line” about “polls are coming” and “escape” of the prime minister. The issue “So SYRIZA estimates that polls will be set up” had not been discussed in a comprehensive manner, following the data that are being formed after the Russian invasion.
Given the forthcoming SYRIZA spring conference (April 14-17), the electoral alert in Koumoundourou is imperative, in a way: such a reading works collectively for the party within it and beyond.
Yesterday, however, Mr. Tsipras said publicly what he discussed during the meeting of the Political Center: “The only solution for Mitsotakis is to escape from the problems and the responsibility by calling elections and for us to take on this heavy responsibility again.” .
In the same (pre-election) context, referring to the Prime Minister, the President of SYRIZA, “he wondered: Instead of Mr. Mitsotakis sending letters to the European Union, supposedly wanting to regulate the context of the European and international market, why does he not decide to implement measures here that regulate the context of the domestic energy market? Why not does it put a ceiling, as other European countries have made, on the price of energy in the tariff that the consumer receives?
