After the government’s refusal to immediately return to normal functioning of the Parliament, as requested by Alexis Tsipras yesterday, and its decision to set the pre-agenda debate a few days before the official start of the work of the Plenary, SYRIZA-PS through a letter of of its members on the Institutions and Transparency Committee requests the immediate convening of the Committee this week.
The SYRIZA-PS MPs of the Committee in the letter they submitted request that the new Governor of the EYP, the president of the Authority for Ensuring the Privacy of Communications, the former Governor of the EYP Mr. Kontoleon, the former Secretary of the Prime Minister Mr. Dimitriadis and the Prosecutor assigned to the EYP in a hearing.
According to the MPs of SYRIZA-PS there are very serious reasons of urgency for the immediate convening of the Committee, both because of the surveillance scandal by the EYP and through the Predator software, as well as because of the attempts to cover it up
from the government.
